Bostock, Middlewich, Cheshire

Bostock comprises of 68 stunning individual homes in what must be one of the most beautiful stately settings in Cheshire. Once the home of the France-Hayhurst family this Grade II* listed 18th century stately home with 14 acres of gardens and and needed no less than 105 staff. As times changed, the estate fell into a state of disrepair. When it was finally discovered by the PJ Livesey Group it had suffered far more than just the ravages of time.

The restoration of the estate involved many close partnerships. English Heritage, English Nature, The Royal Society of Historical Monuments and Buildings, the Georgian and Victorian Societies, The Environment Agency and local archaeologists were all involved.The original bell manufacturers helped in restoring the bell in the main clock tower and tiny hand made bricks were reproduced faithfully.
Today, Bostock Hall flourishes. Within the impressive grandeur of the mansion practical design elements like ensuites and spacious kitchens blend with historic features. Once again people fish for carp and perch in the well stocked lake and walk in the ancient woodland and Georgian walled garden.
