TERRY’S CLOCK TOWER CONSULTATION

We’ve subbmitted plans to convert the clock tower

We have submitted a joint planning application with Henry Boot Developments to convert the Clock Tower Building at the former Terry’s chocolate works site into unique apartments.

Our design would breathe life back into this iconic landmark with the addition of an innovative glazed extension to create 44 individually designed homes in a truly unique setting.

We are also incorporating improvements that would allow public access right to the top of the tower – including access onto the roof. This has always been our intention and discussions were instigated early with interested bodies whom have professed an interest in providing and managing this access for us.

We are now discussing the finer details in respect of dates, insurances and HSE compliance. There is huge demand to live within these magnificent listed buildings, already highlighted by unprecedented sales at The Residence, our conversion of the Art Deco Factory at the centrepiece of the site.

Since our spring launch events more than half the 170 apartments have sold and the first residents are now living there. We believe the mix of properties

from one-bedroom starter homes to expansive duplex penthouses is part of the development’s appeal and the apartments we want to create in the Clock Tower will further enhance the blend of properties available.

We are also proud of the landscaping of the site that has brought the formal gardens back into use and created a new boulevard approach
