EXPERIENCE A NEW DIDSBURY LIFESTYLE

We have just opened the doors to one of our most impressive show homes to date

Perfectly demonstrating that for the first time you can be close to the heart of this trendy south Manchester suburb without compromising on space and modern convenience.

Expansive open plan living with bi-fold doors opening onto a private garden, a master bedroom suite with terrace and three more bedrooms on the first floor, with a guest suite on the second floor and a sixth bedroom/ family room opening onto a roof terrace.

Add in driveway parking, an integral garage and walk-though utility/laundry room and it ticks all the boxes for modern, stylish living.

Group sales manager Gavin Pearce said: “The show home illustrates perfectly what life at Green Walk is all about. It is close to both the city centre and the motorway network yet has all the attractions of the independent shops and restaurants of West Didsbury within walking distance.

“Families wanting easy living space and a place to park outside their door have previously had to move out of the area. But at Green Walk you have space to breathe, room to grow and time to relax.”

Not surprising then that of the 30 properties released in the first phase, 25 have already sold with the first residents already moved in.p

The show home is a Carroll house type and is priced at £779,950 which includes show home extras of luxury carpets throughout and wardrobes to the master bedroom.

Two other Carroll house types will be available for occupation this spring.

The show home is open to view Thursday to Monday 10am to 5pm. Step inside and experience Didsbury Living Redefined.

ENHANCED LIFESTYLE AT ALDERLEY PARK

A brand new gym and sports complex will open at Alderley Park this autumn

Opening in September this year, the new sports complex will include a health and fitness suite, dance studio, sports hall, three tennis courts and a five-a-side all-weather football pitch. There will also be new 7-a-side and 11-a-side football pitches and outdoor recreation areas.

It is being managed by Cheshire-based Everybody Sport and Recreation, and members will also be able to use any of the 15 other group run centres across Cheshire including at Macclesfield, Wilmslow and Knutsford.

The gym is all part of the whole lifestyle on offer at Alderley Park where a new community is gently settling in and enjoying life on this historic estate. Other elements will be a gastro pub, boutique hotel and a farm shop.

We have just seven houses left at The Historic Quarter, contemporary spaces set around a cobbled courtyard some with first floor terraces that enjoy views over the parkland and offer the perfect spot to watch the sun go down.

Peter Hartwell, CEO, Everybody Sport and Recreation, said: “We will be putting together a varied schedule of classes, ranging from indoor group cycling to yoga, which will be open to the all the people working and living at the Park as well as for the local community to enjoy”.

WORK COMMENCES AT 825 DIDSBURY

Work has begun to convert former offices to 22 family sized newly built homes

Planning for the development was agreed late last year and the first homes will be ready for occupation by this autumn.

P J Livesey Director, James Woodmansee, said: “This is an opportunity to take a site with various buildings both listed and non -listed, some used and some no longer fit for purpose and create a place that will once again be truly part of the community. “

The 4.3 acre site contains a mix of buildings set within spacious grounds with mature tree and landscaping.

The red brick Parklands will also be retained and converted to provide 39 contemporary apartments while a second office building, Aspen House, will be demolished to make way for 22 new build homes.

In total the site will provide 85 new homes.

Demolition of Aspen House is already underway with sales starting off plan in the spring.

The Greater Manchester Pension Fund is providing development funding to the project and Councillor Brenda Warrington, Chair of GMPF, said: “We are delighted to be working alongside such a well-respected developer and look forward to seeing the transformation of the site and in particular, the conversion of the listed buildings into innovative and sought-after homes.

“I’m proud the Greater Manchester Pension Fund is willing to invest in the construction of much-needed housing whilst securing a good return for our members’ pensions. We’re excited by the pipeline of potential investments and we look forward to working on more opportunities to achieve our twin aims of significant investment returns to pay our pensions promises, whilst delivering homes, infrastructure and jobs for Greater Manchester.”

P J Livesey Group was advised by Slater Heelis Law with GVA HOW acting on planning.

YOUR LAST CHANCE AT ST. GREGORY’S PLACE

This is your last chance to own unique piece of heritage

This is your last chance to own unique piece of heritage, a two bedroom/two-bathroom apartment at our characterful St Gregory’s development in the historic town of Sudbury in Suffolk.

Our conversion of the former Walnuttree Hospital buildings has been incredibly popular both with people who already love this thriving market town and new commuters who appreciate both the quality of life on offer and the value for money.

Read what our residents had to say here

Plot 32 is in the main historic building and offers spacious living together with a master bedroom suite with shower, guest bedroom and separate bathroom.

It’s a light, bright apartment on the first floor, but best of all is the wide balcony that runs the length of the kitchen/living space and gives wonderful views over the neighbouring Water Meadows.

Priced at £309,950 , the property also includes two dedicated parking spaces.

Sudbury is just a 90-minute train journey from central London but offers a different pace of life with a busy weekly market, independent shops and restaurants and the wild open acres of the historic Water Meadows which have been public land for centuries.

A LITTLE PIECE OF HISTORY

Within The History Quarter development at Alderley Park

Did you know that Waterloo Barn in Alderley Park’s residential Historic Quarter is said to have been the site of jubilant celebrations when The Battle of Waterloo was won – hence the name.

The Barn is one of the few historic buildings remaining from the days when the Park was owned by the Stanley family and has been converted into two homes by The PJ Livesey Group, one of which is now released for sale.

The exterior, with intricate brick detailing, the exposed beams and original stone roof are all as they would have been in the Duke of Wellington’s day – but the interior now boasts a sleek kitchen and open plan living room together with three bedrooms and two luxurious bathrooms.

This unique piece of history is for sale at £594, 950

St Gregory’s Place | The Birds

A WONDERFUL PLACE TO LIVE

The beautiful St. Gregory’s Place – “I wish we could have moved here 20 years ago!”

A lovely comment from John Bird who, with his wife Sonja, moved into a brand new house at our St Gregory’s development in Sudbury in the summer of 2018.

It’s not unusual for clients to love their new PJ Livesey homes but at 85 and 80 years old the Birds prove it is never too late to move.

John said: “We have done the opposite of most people our age – we moved from a bungalow to a three-storey house and it’s the best thing we have ever done.

“We are so pleased to have our house, we love it.

“We knew we wanted to be here as soon as we visited and saw the setting and now we have moor hens and swans and ducks on the Water Meadows and I can see squirrels doing acrobats in the trees in the garden.

“It is a wonderful place to live. I stepped out last night and walked round to the original old buildings and the main gateway where the lights were on. It was misty and very atmospheric and felt so peaceful and still.

“I am a big reader and can walk into town to the library and get whatever we need from the shops and we often go to the Old Mill Hotel just next door to eat.”

The Bird’s son lives close by but they have also made good friends with their new neighbours and enjoy the ‘community’ feel of St Gregory’s.

John said: “My next door neighbour puts our dustbins out for us – no-one has ever done that for us before – and the other night we all went for a chat and something to eat at the Inn.

“I grew up in an orphanage, not knowing my brother and sister till we were older, so to have people around you who care is just lovely.

“We are so very happy here.”
