SUMMER LAUNCH FOR YORK CLOCK TOWER

Work is now well underway to convert the Clock Tower at the former Terry’s Chocolate Factory site in York into unique new homes.

Work is now well underway to convert the Clock Tower at the former Terry’s Chocolate Factory site in York into unique new homes.

The Clock tower is the final piece in the jigsaw to transform this historic site, right next to the racecourse, into one of the most desirable residential locations in the city.

With unrivalled breathtaking, panoramic views of York Town, York Minister and Knavesmire Park, The Clock Tower is a once in a lifetime development that should not be missed.

Our conversion of the original factory building into The Residence was an outstanding success and there is already unprecedented interest in the properties being created in the Grade II listed tower.

It will provide 22 unique homes, a mix of 1, 2 or 3 bedrooms, ranging from ground floor garden apartments to duplex and triplex spaces with glass balconies.

All will come with dedicated parking and most will have private outside space

We hope to begin the sales release this summer with prices starting from around £250,000. To ensure you receive the latest information we suggest registering your interest with us

Love at First Sight for Giuseppe

LOVE AT FIRST SIGHT FOR GIUSEPPE

Giuseppe Alfonso knew the moment that he walked onto our Storeton Hall development he wanted to live there.

Giuseppe Alfonso knew the moment he walked onto our Storeton Hall development on the Wirral that he wanted to live there and reserved a property on the spot!

“I fell in love with it straight away and as soon as I walked in the show house I told Ryan to sign me up!” he said.

Giuseppe has lived on the Wirral all his adult life and loves that fact that the west side of the peninsular has a country / outdoorsy feel but is still handy for everywhere. He said: “Its seven miles in a taxi for a night out in Liverpool while Chester and Manchester are easy to get to but when you are here it’s really beautiful and peaceful.

“I’d been cycling past Storeton Hall for six years so knew the location and on the spur of the moment called in when I saw the sales launch sign.”

He bought a three-bedroom semi-detached property which looks across to the Listed Hall which is being converted to create two large properties.

Giuseppe said: “It is really nice being part of such a historical site and my house is lovely, really light with big rooms and finished to a really high specification.

“PJ Liveseys are doing it really well with lots of open space and a real mix of properties and the whole team has been wonderful to deal with – nothing has been too much trouble.

“It is not a big development and I think that once the site is finished it will be amazing. I feel very lucky to be living here.”

Storeton Halls Latest Residents

STORETON HALL LATEST RESIDENTS

Peter and Hannah Jones settle into their forever home, the stunning Epsom

At the start of 2020 Peter and Hannah Jones were considering extending their existing home in Bebington to help accommodate their young family.

However, the couple had registered their interest in our Storeton Hall development and were keen to find out more.

Peter continues: “It was fate really. We had plans to extend our home but then lock-down happened. And when we saw more details of the development and what it had to offer our plans changed. We liked the fact that it will only be small and has the focus of the historic buildings.

“Because we had registered we got sent pre-launch information and really liked the look and the layout of The Epsom house type. We put our house on the market in the summer and it sold within a week.”

The plot they chose was earmarked to be the show home for the development so was fitted with carpets, curtains and blinds and fitted furniture to the master bedroom and second bedroom.

Peter said: “Our move in was delayed from November to January and our biggest stress was the prospect of having to rent for a time with three children under 10 but fortunately our buyers were equally understanding and it all worked out in the end.

“We found PJ Livesey really accommodating and Charlotte in the sales office looked after us every step of the way to help us in. She has been amazing and nothing was too much trouble.”

The family are now settled in their ‘Forever Home’ with the children still able to attend the same primary schools and nursery while the location is handy for their parents’ commute.

They all love the huge L-shaped open plan kitchen, dining, living family space with bi-fold doors onto the garden and the practical utility that leads into the garage.

Hannah said: “We are both teachers so it has been lovely to have the quiet space of the separate study, both for us and for the children to concentrate on homework.

“The children all have their own bedrooms and two en-suite bathrooms makes mornings much easier. It is a brilliant family home and we do keep stopping to pinch ourselves and say: ‘Is this really ours?! We feel very lucky to have found Storeton Hall and to be living here.”

Peter said: “We are five minutes from good local shops yet surrounded by space and countryside with views of the North Wales hills and great dog walks right from the front door. It really does offer the best of both worlds.”

AROUND THE WORLD FOR RALPH

The PJ Livesey Team are raising money for The Christie Charity

The PJ Livesey Team is walking, running, rowing and cycling our way around the world – covering a whopping 25,000 miles – to raise money for The Christie Charity.

This amazing challenge is also to support our colleague Ralph, who is currently undergoing chemotherapy treatment at The Christie Hospital in Manchester.

Clocking up these miles is our way of showing him we are with him every step of the way.

Georgina Livesey said: “My initial idea was to cross the Atlantic for Ralph and then someone suggested we should circumnavigate the world and I was sold!

“Ralph has been an integral part of PJ Livesey since the company was founded and continues to inspire us now with his humour and strength. It speaks volumes that so many people are joining in to take on the world for him!”

Eighty people are recording their daily miles with progress plotted on a giant map.

The Christie provides outstanding treatment and care for Ralph and many others and we are trying to raise an initial £2,500 whilst traveling 25,000 miles Around the World for Ralph!

We have already completed 3300 miles and have currently just passed Montreal.

We will add regular updates here and would love it if people wanted to donate to this wonderful cause.
